What's New Alterations and Additions The Latest Updates 012003 Sure miss pounding away at the keyboard for hours on end here at the IX. All the time on-line winds up here. But I gotta admit, teaching's a blast! 030102 Psst. Hey buddy. Wanna learn to Flash? 022202 Holy Moly! Just realized that this is the third anniversary of the IX. The counter on the home page reads 22175 so that means that over 10,000 of you found this weird little corner of the Net in the last year. (Or was it one of you 10,000 times?) Either way, how you found your way to this place is another story altogether. 022102 Been so swamped with my new job at Valhalla (yes, we're going to redesign the school's Website soon) I've hardly touched the IX (other than a few posts on the Message Board). Since I'm currently teaching the kids Flash (a program I'd never used before), I thought it might be a good idea to try it on for size. Here's my first effort. One of the real perks of this job is having to find the time to learn all kinds of cool programs. Can you believe that they're paying me to do this?! 010902 Well it sure ain't vintage IX material, but the new Ed Tech section promises to grow by leaps and bounds in the near future while the more mundane topics, you know, dreams, visions, and all that meaning of life stuff waits its turn. Sheesh! And this is responsible behavior?! 111101 Man, it seems like a year since I've updated anything. Added a page to the Torah Code section by special request and brought the Start the Day page back up to date. Now, if I can just fix some of those dreadfully designed splash pages... 082101 Added a search feature for the Web as well as this site. It means a lot. In other news, Dream Yet Complete has been tinkered with yet again. A special thanks to the talented, inspirational folks at Saga for helping to light a fire under that one. 012801 Well, at least the Visions section keeps growing. 012501 A few days ago I added a new image to the home page and, for better or worse, I just went ahead and changed the color scheme (if you can even call it that any more) of the whole site. Shoot, now I gotta change all the splash pages to match this gray matter. Oh well, any excuse to open Photoshop is a good one! 011201 Alert the media! Added yet another page to the Visions section. 011101 I've been tinkering with pages here and there for a while now and I've finally added a new page or two to the Visions section. 101400 Okay, the templates are finished and site was just uploaded. Lots of minor changes and additions. Now, if I can finally focus on expanding content... 101000 New color schemes thanks to Dreamweaver and a whole bunch of updates. Well, some of the pages have been changed. The site's a bit schizophrenic at present with at least four separate floor plans, but the new template will be phased in over the next mumble mumble days. 100100 Added a new page... somewhere... 091800 Another very strange vision and an overview. 091500 Got around to updating the Visions section with one I had a few hours ago. 080800 Well, that was quick. This G4 made short work of altering the appearance of seventy-odd (literally) pages -- several times! Still a lot of improvements to make, but this's a start. The CSS tags used in this layout work best with Explorer. (It pains me to admit that Microsoft has the superior browser at present) You won't see the text rollovers with Netscape 'cause it can't read the code (though the links will still work). Maybe in v.6... Who know how this'll look on whatever shackled browser you poor AOLers are given. 080600 Starting to implement a new site design. Should be phased-in over the next few days. 072900 Finally added a Message Board. Feel free to add a thought, a question, or a rant. 072400 After "only" six months or so, I finally replaced that dreadful temporary navigation bar that used to be at the top of the page. At this rate, I'll be adding new content by Christmas. 052000 Worked a bit on updating the Torah Codes section. This's one outrageous story. 051300 It's becoming clear that the PDF files and the expanding link environment in UnNumb will change with regularity (like they have again today). Rather than clutter this page with the update info, just check the Site Map for messages (it'll say Updated 051300 or insert new date here when there's been a change). If it's of interest to you, that'll keep you up to date. Oh, and I've also added a page to clarify something about those links. 051000 Kept plugging away at the PDF and html files (see below). 01 and 02 have been updated. 050900 First draft, very small (>50K) PDF versions of Uncomfortably Numb are now available. See issues 01, 02, and 03 if you want. Cleaner, link rich versions will follow soon. For now, I've added about a hundred links to the html versions. Oh yeah. Also added a book section to The Rest of the Mess. 050400 Matrix update including links and pages and a bare-bones copy of the missing Messiah Movie Book V and Imagery and Metaphor 03 threads. 050100 Finally started to rebuild those missing links. 042700 Added a few new paintings to the Art and Graphics section. 040900 Making it Last (in the Lucid Dreams section) is now considerably more readable. (I tinker with individual pages constantly but only let you know about new additions and rewrites) 040600 The Rest of the Mess finally has some content. Also added another page to Lucid Dreams (but it's in need of editing). 040400 Finally got around to adding a page or two to Visions. If I don't add more in the next few weeks, please feel free to flame me via email. 031400 Twenty-one years ago today, PBS ran this special and things have never been the same -- at least not from my point of view. On that same train of thought, UnNumb is now reasonably edited to read semi-coherently in most browsers, though some idiot started adding links all over the place. Now that's a neverending story... 030300 Sheesh! Someone (Iggy, you get a better link when your own page is online) wrote and mentioned Uncomfortably Numb (among other things). In spare moments over the past couple of days I've been proofing and editing madly. Uploading pages is one thing. Knowing others are actually reading the stuff is a another matter entirely. Return visitors should refresh previously read pages to see updated versions. The process will continue for the next week or so. (There's much left to edit.) 022300 In a flurry of activity new splash pages are suddenly appearing. They need much more work before I'll be happy with 'em, but they give the place a little more personality. And with a little nudge from an unexpected email, a new section has finally bloomed. (Actually, I'm pretty pleased that the trickle of visitors continues to continue.) So, what's new.... Let's see, the pages keep getting minor facelifts, a few more blanks have filled in (you'll have to find those on your own), and the long-awaited (well, I've been waiting for a long time to start this) Art and Graphics section finally exists. Regrets? Sure wish I'd taken more pictures over the years. No way to upload memories as yet. Also tinkered a bit with Dream Yet Complete. Check out the new splash page and the intro. I've set up a secret test page to see how some new stuff looks. Some of it looks pretty bad. Time it right and you can see my very latest worst ideas! 020100 Gave the site a much needed face lift.
