The CSS tags used in this layout work best with Explorer. (It pains me to admit that Microsoft has the superior browser at present) You won't see the text rollovers with Netscape 'cause it can't read the code (though the links will still work). Maybe in v.6... Who know how this'll look on whatever shackled browser you poor AOLers are given.

Let me know what you like/don't like about the layout. And if something's looking screwy on your browser, please let me know about that too.

Ken Jacques Revealed!

Terri, Kenny's long-suffering wife, has kindly provided his actual email address. Rumor has it that Ken has hidden behind his wife's eddress in order to protect a secret identity he's cultivated among an obscure group of internet devotees known collectively as "The Flames." It seems that Ken frequents the chat room circuit under the name "Randy Randy" and has quite a following.

Randy Randy has some 'splaining to do.


Sabo Shows No Remorse

In a story previously reported, George Sabo RF'ed Mike Ward recently. Sabo, the underhanded Hair Club for Men salesman, has failed to own-up to his dastardly deed and has remained inexplicably tight-lipped even though his crime was uncovered and his shame revealed.

Sinking to an unprecedented new low, George Sabo replied to my original mailing on Mike Ward's computer with the following:

I and everyone else I've talked with were taken aback at the tone of the reply. I've gotta admit that even though it didn't sound a bit like Mike Ward, I fell for George's "joke."

Mike called me today and said, "I sure hope you didn't think that was me."

"Yes, Mike," I had to reply, "I did."

Let's all get real creative and find a suitable "surprise" for Mr. Sabo.

I'd suggest boycotting his services (as we seem to be in the process of developing the business resources Jenny (Fox) Graham suggested), but I still can't believe he admits to being the "Central California Representative, Hair Club for Men."

According to recent emails, there seems to be some confusion about how to use the Message Board. Try these simple steps (and it's nowhere near as complicated as this is going to sound):

1) Go here and register. Since there are over 1,000,000 registered EZBoard users, chances are you'll have to get creative with your user name. Using your real name or adding a number to your nickname are two of the easiest solutions to this problem. And I registered (using a different user name) about 3 months ago and have seen no noticeable increase in spam (junk email), if that concerns you.

2) Once registered, you can utilize all the features of the board. For FAQs (frequently asked questions) regarding the basics and some of the options you'll have, see this page.

3) After you reply to or post a new topic, you can, for instance, edit your message if you find that you've made a mistake (try that with email!). You can also check the option to be notified by email if someone replies to the thread(s) you are interested in. That way you don't have to check back in to see if anyone has replied, however; to see if new topics have been created you'll have to visit periodically.

4) This page will contain a list of all topics we have created. To see messages in an individual topic (thread), just click on the topic's title (it's a link). That will take you to that thread's messages (try it). You add a reply to the topic by clicking the "Add Reply" button. Try that and look at reply page's set up. Pretty self-explanatory.

Two tips: a) After composing your message, click the "Preview" button then the "Add Reply" button to see how your post will look before the rest of the world does. If you like it, click the "Add Post" button. If you don't, hit the browser's "back" button and make corrections. b) You may want to compose in a word processing program and use its spell checker. The EZBoard spell checker sometimes eats the entire message and you'll have to start again.

5) To create a new thread, click on the "New Topic" button. This will take you to a new page. Try it to see the set up. Pretty similar to the "Add Reply" page, right? See step 4 for the rest.

Hey, this only sounds complicated. Try it and don't worry about mistakes. Even if you screw up the whole thing it's no big deal. Remember, you can edit (there's an "edit" option right there next to your message) so long as you're a registered user. If you can't figure out how to fix it just drop me a line and I'll fix it for you. Shoot, this is so simple even Sabo will be able to figure it out.
